A. C. Burch grew up in a small town south of Boston, MA, and left as soon as possible. In college, he majored in classical music, going on to perform with orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout New England. Discovering the need for a “day job,” he became part of the emerging technology industry, quickly disproving—to his colleague’s universal agreement—the premise that musicians make good programmers.

A. C.’s debut novel was The HomePort Journals, whose sequel, The Distance Between Us, will be available in May of 2023. He has also published a book of short stories entitled A Book of Revelations.

An avid sailor, gardener, and photographer, A. C. is seldom seen without #Dorithewonderdog, his faithful, if demanding, companion. He spends as much time as possible sailing or working on board his beloved boat, Nepenthe. When ashore, he is most often found in his writing shed.

A.C. splits his time between Provincetown and South Beach, two oceanside communities, the former built on sand, the latter on limestone.
